Rev. Dr. Kwame Frempong is a prominent scholar and educator in theology, whose influential work at the Pan African Centre for Climate Policy in Ghana underscores his commitment to advancing the intersection of climate policy and social justice. As the Country Director since 2017, he plays a pivotal role in shaping environmental policies that align with equitable social practices, leveraging his extensive academic and professional experience to foster meaningful change.
Holding a PhD in Theology from Trinity Theological Seminary, which he earned in 2023, along with an MPhil in Religions from the University of Ghana obtained in 2013, Rev. Dr. Frempong’s academic credentials are impressive. His foundational studies include a Bachelor of Theology (BTh) from Trinity Theological Seminary and a BA in Political Science and Religions from the University of Ghana.
Rev. Dr. Frempong’s rich background in education includes teaching positions at institutions like Kwesipaintsil Zion Primary School, Feden Preparatory School, and Diaso Senior High School. Transitioning to ministry, he served as an Assistant Pastor with Praise Family Ministry and later as the Resident Pastor of Wesleyan Church, Ghana, where he exemplified strong leadership as District Secretary from 2010 to 2014 and as District Superintendent from 2014 to 2018. Currently, he serves as the National Secretary and Campus Ministry Coordinator at Refined Word Chapel, reflecting his deep commitment to community and spiritual development.
In addition to his distinguished pastoral and educational roles, Rev. Dr. Frempong is a dedicated advocate for academic discourse, participating in workshops and presentations on research methodology and graduate research management at institutions such as the University of Ghana and Trinity Theological Seminary. His scholarly work includes numerous academic papers exploring significant themes, such as political and religious rhetoric in the African diaspora and the integration of African traditional ethics with Christian values.
Outside of his professional commitments, Rev. Dr. Kwame Frempong enjoys public speaking, writing academic papers, watching films, and traveling. He is fluent in English, Akan, and Ga, which enables him to connect with diverse communities and perspectives.
