Kwame Anane Frempong is the Executive Director of the Pan African Centre for Climate Policy (PACC), an organization dedicated to advancing climate resilience and sustainable development across Africa. A key initiative of PACC is the annual hosting of environmental education and lifelong learning conferences in Canada and Ghana, aimed at fostering awareness, knowledge exchange, and capacity building on climate issues.

With a strong foundation in public health and climate policy, Kwame recognizes the critical intersection between climate change and health outcomes, emphasizing how rising temperatures, extreme weather events, and environmental degradation directly impact community health, exacerbate health disparities, and threaten future well-being.

He holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Public Health from the University of Roehampton, London, UK, and a Bachelor of Arts from York University.

Kwame’s expertise encompasses integrating climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies with health systems strengthening to address the increasing burden of climate-sensitive diseases and health inequities.

With over 20 years of experience in policy formulation, project management, and organizational development, Kwame is a passionate climate solutions advocate and serial entrepreneur. He has contributed to numerous youth-led social enterprise initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable development and climate resilience. His experience includes coordinating projects funded by the City of Toronto, the World Bank, UNICEF, and the Ford Foundation, with a focus on leveraging innovative solutions for climate and health challenges facing vulnerable populations.

Kwame’s work underscores the importance of holistic approaches that link climate action with health improvements, advocating for policies that protect both the planet and public health in a changing climate.
