Since August 2016, PACC Policy has been working with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Environment Community Development Service (CDS)Group in Cross River State, Nigeria on Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (REDD+) activities through replanting and conservation of the forests, which contribute to reducing emissions and enhancing livelihoods to the people of the communities. We have also developed a comprehensive easy to use climate change training manual to our partners in Cross River State for Training of Trainers (TOT) capacity building and community engagement.
This forms part of our vision to have by 2030 at least 100,000 trained climate change youth corps across member countries.
